What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate care for hospitalized and outpatient patients
• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, diagnostics, and medical procedures
• Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats during examinations and treatment
• Perform venipuncture, blood collection, laboratory diagnostics, and sample processing
• Assist with radiology, patient monitoring, and treatment administration
• Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, instruments, and equipment
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Support surgery, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery when applicable
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding appointments, patient needs, and care instructions
• Assist with client discharge, follow-up, inventory, and restocking
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary veterinary hospital

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong animal handling, restraint, and patient-care skills
• Experience with venipuncture, blood collection, and laboratory diagnostics
• Ability to support patient histories, examinations, treatments, and medical records
• Strong communication and veterinary client service skills
• Ability to work effectively with veterinarians and veterinary support staff
• Surgery, anesthesia, and post-operative care experience preferred
• RVT credential preferred, but experienced Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to apply

Schedule & Availability

• Part-Time
• Flexible scheduling based on hospital needs and candidate availability
• Weekend, holiday, and high-volume period availability preferred
• Reliable transportation required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and remain active throughout the hospital
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and restrain patients weighing up to 50 lbs., with assistance when appropriate
• Comfortable working with animals of varying sizes, temperaments, and medical conditions
