Who runs this site

About VeterinaryHires

VeterinaryHires is a job board built exclusively for the veterinary industry — veterinarians, credentialed veterinary technicians, assistants, client service representatives, and the practice managers and caretakers who keep animal hospitals running.

We aggregate open veterinary positions from across the country, publish researched career and credentialing guides, and give practice owners a direct way to reach candidates who already work in this industry.

Why this site exists

Veterinary medicine has a well-documented staffing shortage, but it has never had a job board of its own.

On the big generic boards, a search for “vet tech” returns a wall of unrelated technician roles; a practice posting a credentialed technician opening competes with every retail and warehouse listing in the country for attention.

Candidates can't find the roles, and employers can't find the candidates — even though both sides are actively looking for each other.

Hiring in this field is a constant bottleneck.

The roles are specialized, credentialing varies wildly by state, and the best candidates are rarely on the boards where the jobs get posted.

VeterinaryHires exists to fix that mismatch — one place where every listing, every salary guide, and every licensing article is about this industry and nothing else.

Business & hiring — not clinical

I'm Gabriel Meierotto, the founder of VeterinaryHires.

I want to be direct about what I'm not. I'm not a veterinarian, a credentialed veterinary technician, or any kind of clinician.

I've never treated an animal, and nothing on this site is veterinary or medical advice, or a clinical review.

My expertise is the business and hiring side of this industry.

When our content touches clinical scope, credentialing, or state law, we don't rely on my authority or anyone else's memory; we work from primary sources, as described below.

How our job listings are sourced

Listings on VeterinaryHires come from two places: positions we aggregate from employer career pages and public job feeds, refreshed continuously, and positions posted directly by employers on our platform.

Aggregated listings always link back to the original source so you apply directly with the employer.

We don't accept payment to rank one listing above another in search results.

How our career and licensing guides are researched

A large share of this site covers licensing requirements, scope of practice, and compensation — topics where being wrong has real consequences for someone's career.

So the editorial rules are strict:

  • Every state-specific legal or licensing claim is verified against primary sources — the state’s licensing board, the relevant statute or administrative code, or the board’s published guidance — before we publish it.
  • Regulatory pages carry a “last verified” date so you know how current the information is.
  • Salary figures are drawn from named sources, including posted salary data on VeterinaryHires itself and published government data, never invented.
  • Where a number changes frequently, we describe the landscape rather than pin a figure that will be stale in six months.

And one thing we deliberately don't do: we never label content “medically reviewed” unless a real, named, credentialed clinician has actually reviewed it.

No fabricated reviewers, no stock-photo expert panels.

None of this content is legal or medical advice.

For decisions about licensing, scope of practice, or business structure, consult your state board or a qualified professional.

Spotted an error?

If something on this site is out of date or wrong — a licensing requirement that changed, a stale salary figure, a broken listing — I want to know.

Email support@veterinaryhires.com and I'll review and correct it.

Corrections are part of the job on a site like this, not an embarrassment.
