Veterinary Technician - Floater

• Position Type: Clinical animal healthcare and nursing.

• Core Limitation: Cannot diagnose diseases, prescribe medication, or perform surgery.

• Work Environment: Animal hospitals, private clinics, and research laboratories. 

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Take vital signs, collect lab samples (blood, urine, tissue), and place IV catheters.

• Surgery & Treatment: Administer and monitor anesthesia, prepare surgical instruments, and provide post-operative care.

• Diagnostics: Perform lab tests and take X-rays or ultrasounds.

• Client Communication: Explain care instructions, medications, and preventative health to pet owners.

• Administration: Maintain patient medical records and manage equipment
