Job Description

Join a close-knit team with a big heart and a “YES” philosophy!

We're not your typical veterinary hospital — and we're looking for someone who isn't looking for a typical job.

Do you love helping people, care deeply about animals, and believe that a great team makes all the difference? Are you someone who can keep a smile on your face during a busy day, lend a hand when a teammate needs support, and make a worried pet parent feel just a little less worried?

If so, we might be looking for you!

Welcome to our “YES” veterinary hospital!

We're a general practice veterinary hospital with a big heart and a simple philosophy: We believe in saying “YES” whenever we can.

Whether a pet needs a routine wellness visit or a family calls us because their beloved companion needs immediate attention, we do our best to find a way to help. We believe in being approachable, compassionate, and willing to explore solutions because we know how much pets mean to the people who love them.

Of course, veterinary medicine doesn't always go according to plan, and not every request can be accommodated. But we believe that how we respond matters. We lead with kindness, look for options, and work together to help pets get the care they need.

A little about our team

We're a close-knit crew that works hard, moves fast, and has each other's backs. Our days can be busy and unpredictable, but we believe in pitching in, communicating, laughing when we can, and supporting one another when things get challenging.

We know that great patient care isn't a one-person job. It takes a team of people who trust one another, step up when needed, and share a genuine desire to make a difference.

We're looking for someone who will bring that same spirit to our front desk — someone who understands that being a veterinary receptionist is about so much more than answering phones and scheduling appointments.

The person we're hoping to meet

You're friendly, dependable, caring, and empathetic. You understand that behind every phone call is a person who loves their pet, and sometimes that person may be worried, overwhelmed, or scared.

You know how to listen, communicate with compassion, and help people feel welcome. You're organized and comfortable juggling multiple priorities, even when the phones are ringing, clients are arriving, and the medical team needs your help.

Most importantly, you're a team player. You notice when someone needs a hand, take pride in following through, and understand that even the little things can make a big difference in someone's day.

Veterinary reception experience is a plus, especially if you understand the pace and unique demands of a busy veterinary hospital. We value experience, a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to help.

What your days with us will look like

  • Greeting clients and their pets with warmth and a friendly smile.
  • Answering calls, scheduling appointments, and helping clients navigate their pets' care.
  • Working with our medical team to coordinate appointments and respond to pets with immediate needs.
  • Offering reassurance and compassionate communication during stressful or emotional moments.
  • Keeping records, payments, and administrative details organized and accurate.
  • Helping your teammates wherever you're needed and working together to keep the day moving.
  • Being part of the experience that helps clients feel cared for from the moment they contact us.

Why we hope you'll join us

Because we believe the right people make a special team even better.

We want someone who enjoys being busy, finds purpose in helping others, and wants to work alongside people who care about doing the right thing for pets and their families. We want a teammate who brings kindness to the front desk, a willingness to jump in, and a little extra heart to the everyday moments that make veterinary medicine so meaningful.

If you're looking for a place where your compassion matters, teamwork is part of everyday life, and helping pets is more than just a job, we'd love to meet you.

At Mission Pet Health, we do things a little differently! As part of our hiring process, we invite candidates to complete a short online assessment so we can better understand your skills and strengths. If you are being considered for the position, you will receive an e-mail from a Mission Pet Health recruiter with a link to complete the assessment at your convenience.
