Ready to build something exceptional?
Exceptional medicine. An extraordinary team. A place where you can build something meaningful.
Animal Care Group of Lake Oswego is looking for a Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join our team and help us bring advanced ophthalmic care to the pets and families of our community.
Since 1986, we have built our reputation one patient, one client, and one relationship at a time. We are proud to be AAHA accredited and grateful to have earned a 4.9-star Google rating—but what matters most to us is what those things represent: exceptional medicine, thoughtful communication, loyal clients, and a team that genuinely cares about doing the right thing.
We take our medicine seriously. We also believe the best hospitals are built with heart, humor, trust, and people who truly enjoy working together.
If you are looking for a hospital where your expertise will be valued, your ideas will be welcomed, and you will be surrounded by people who are invested in your success, we would love to meet you.
Why Animal Care Group of Lake Oswego?
We are not a collection of people simply working under the same roof. We are a team.
Our doctors and support staff collaborate closely, prepare thoroughly, communicate openly, and step in for one another when needed. We celebrate successes, learn from challenges, and share a deep commitment to providing the kind of care we would want for our own animals.
We want you focused on your patients, your clients, and the medicine you love. Our team and support systems are here to help make that possible.
This is more than an opportunity to fill a position. It is an opportunity to help shape and grow ophthalmology services within a respected, thriving hospital.
You will have the ability to practice advanced medicine while building strong relationships with our referring doctors, clients, and community. We are looking for someone who is excited to bring their knowledge, perspective, and passion to the table—not simply step into a predetermined mold.
Who Will Thrive Here?
You may be a wonderful fit if you are:
Expertise matters here, but so does how we treat people. We are looking for someone who understands that outstanding patient care comes from a team whose members trust, respect, and support one another.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $220,000–$250,000, with additional earning potential through a monthly production bonus with no negative accrual.
As part of Mission Pet Health, we maintain the relationships, personality, and autonomy of a local hospital while benefiting from the resources and stability of a larger veterinarian-led network.
Lake Oswego offers the best of the Pacific Northwest: natural beauty, excellent schools, a vibrant downtown, beautiful parks, outdoor recreation, and easy access to Portland, the Oregon Coast, wine country, the Columbia River Gorge, and Mt. Hood.
It is a wonderful place to build a career—and an equally wonderful place to build a life.
If you want to practice stellar medicine with a dedicated team that brings skill, integrity, personality, and heart to its work, we would love to start a conversation.
