Veterinary Hospital Manager

As Hospital Manager, you will partner with the Medical Director and leadership team to support the hospital’s day-to-day operations while helping foster a culture built on communication, accountability, teamwork, and growth.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Financial Leadership: Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
• Strategic Direction: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
• Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
• Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
• Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Schedule, Benefits & Compensation

• Compensation: $90,000-$100,000 annual base salary*
• Bi-annual bonus opportunities: Based on hospital performance

Your Qualifications:

• 5+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required.
• Veterinary hospital management experience required - medical, dental, or healthcare practice management experience also considered.
• Previous veterinary experience (e.g., Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Client Service Representative) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams and departments.
• Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficient with business software and able to adapt quickly to new systems.
• Capacity to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision while also collaborating effectively in tandem with the Medical Director and leadership team
