Hawthorne Park Animal Care Center is looking for a full-time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit, team-oriented practice. If you’re looking for a supportive environment where you can utilize your clinical skills and build strong relationships with clients and patients—this could be a great fit.

We are a 4-doctor small animal hospital focusing on canine and feline medicine and surgery along with canine rehabilitation work including laser therapy and hydrotherapy. We also are growing our exotic medicine including small mammals, reptiles and small birds. Our DVMs are supported by a collaborative team of 21 including 5 CVTs.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with exams and patient care
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and lab work
• Support surgery (prep, induction, monitoring, recovery)
• Take radiographs
• Administer medications and treatments
• Provide excellent client communication and education

Schedule

• Full-Time 4 days a week with rotating Saturdays
