COTA Veterinary is hiring a full-time Veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to small animals.

What to Expect

• A schedule built around you. Flexible scheduling tailored to your availability, with no on-call rotation — your time outside the clinic stays yours.
• A practice you'll be proud to work in. COTA is a modern, well-maintained facility with current equipment and systems, so you can practice good medicine without workarounds.
• Low-stress medicine, practiced for real. If you're Fear Free certified, Feline Friendly–minded, or simply committed to scruff-free, cooperative-care handling, you'll join a team that already works this way.
• Build the caseload you want. COTA actively supports doctors developing a niche. If you have training — or want to pursue it — in acupuncture, chiropractic, rehabilitation, herbal medicine, or canine sports and performance medicine, we'll make room in your schedule to build that caseload alongside general practice. Richmond's active dog-sports and performance-training community brings us patients who need exactly that expertise.
• Support and respect. A strong staff-to-doctor ratio means you'll have the backup you need to be excellent for our patients.
• Benefits you deserve — health, dental, vision, retirement, and 401(k), plus a generous CE allowance and all of your licenses and dues covered.
• Time to recharge. Paid holidays plus a generous PTO package.
• Partnership opportunities through Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP), where more than 260 partners co-own practices across 185 locations. VPP offers unmatched support in operations, marketing, and finance, allowing you to focus on your passion for veterinary medicine.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution
• Valid veterinary license in the state of Virginia
• Certification or interest in integrative or canine sports medicine is a plus, not a requirement
