Locum Relief CVT: Work When You Want, Where You're Needed

VCA Animal Emergency Critical Care in Leesburg, VA is looking for a Locum Relief CVT to jump in when and where the team needs an extra set of skilled hands. No long-term commitment required, just bring your experience and your A-game.

You'll get the full ER/critical care experience. The fast pace, the real cases, the good kind of chaos without being locked into a fixed schedule..

The pay: $35-37 Based on experience and licensure, competitive with our full-time CVT compensation. Currently offering shift differential and shift bonus if called in, all in addition to hourly pay.

The schedule: Flexible / as-needed. Pick up shifts that work for you, including swing and overnight coverage.

What you'll actually be doing:

• Jumping into physical exams, patient histories, and vitals like you've been here all along
• Administering vaccines, meds, and treatments with accurate dosing and documentation
• Medications, CRIs, transfusions, and treatments, dosed right and documented right
• IV catheters, venipuncture, fluid therapy, high flow oxygen
• Anesthesia inducing, monitoring, and keeping patients stable through procedures
• Running radiography and in-house diagnostics
• Talking clients through preventive care, meds, and at-home instructions
• Keeping records tight and communication clear, even when you're new to the room
• Handling everything from routine visits to full-blown emergencies without missing a beat

Who we're looking for: A CVT who can walk into a new environment, read the room fast, and get to work. Positive, adaptable, and comfortable being the "new face" on a shift. If you thrive on variety and want ER-level cases without ER-level commitment, we want to meet you.
