The Opportunity

We are looking for a Credentialed Veterinary Technician who is excited to use their skills, continue growing professionally, and become an integral part of our feline-focused team.

This is an opportunity to practice technician-led nursing at a high level. You will work closely with our veterinarians and fellow team members across anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, laboratory testing, patient nursing, and client education.

Essential Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

As a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional medical care and creating a positive experience for our feline patients and their families. Responsibilities include:

• Partner with veterinarians in the delivery of high-quality feline medicine and surgery.
• Support outpatient appointments by obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and weights and providing client education.
• Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures and provide skilled anesthetic monitoring throughout procedures and recovery.
• Collect blood, urine, stool, and other diagnostic samples.
• Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare specimens for outside laboratories.
• Obtain diagnostic radiographs while following appropriate positioning and radiation safety protocols.
• Utilize feline-friendly and Fear Free handling techniques during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Administer medications, vaccines, anesthesia, and prescribed treatments under veterinarian direction.
• Monitor hospitalized and recovering patients and provide attentive nursing care.
• Maintain accurate communication regarding patient status, treatment plans, client concerns, and follow-up needs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam, treatment, laboratory, and surgical areas.
• Properly clean, maintain, and care for medical equipment.
• Provide compassionate, professional service during every interaction with clients and patients.
• Collaborate with the entire practice team to support an efficient workflow and exceptional standard of care.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Current or eligible state credential as a Certified, Licensed, or Registered Veterinary Technician.
• Strong clinical and technical veterinary nursing skills.
• Ability to calculate medication dosages accurately.
• Understanding of OSHA safety standards and proper PPE use.
• Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds independently and heavier patients or equipment with assistance.
• Commitment to patient safety, compassionate care, and exceptional client service.
