Registered Veterinary Technician - American Animal Hospital

Located in San Diego’s Mira Mesa community, American Animal Hospital is a well-established small-animal practice that has proudly served the area since 1986. The hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including wellness and preventive medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, pharmacy services, and more. With a focus on individualized, compassionate care, the team is committed to building lasting relationships with pets and their families while providing high-quality medicine in a collaborative, supportive environment.

We are currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. We have Full-Time and Part-Time schedules available. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician, and have solid surgery and anesthesia skills. An interest in dentistry or learning more about dentistry is also preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician

• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. 

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

• Veterinary Technician Certification Required

• Experience and confidence in surgery and general anesthesia
• Interest in dentistry
• Open schedule availability

Compensation is $26-$33/hr and based on experience
