Kennel Assistant

Job description:

VCA Wingate Animal Hospital is seeking two Full Time Kennel Assistants. You would be joining a team that makes their pet owners and their pets the number one priority. A team that goes above and beyond to provide excellent care for the animals as well as their team.

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
- Clean and maintain kennel areas, including feeding, watering, and exercising animals
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and administering medications to animals as directed
- Work with the medical team as needed when medical concerns arise
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior

Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals is required
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners and answer questions about animal care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks

-This position requires availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
