As the Founding Partner & Lead Veterinarian, you will be the cornerstone of the hospital, responsible for establishing a gold-standard medical culture, mentoring your team, and driving the business's success as a true owner. You'll have the rare opportunity to build a hospital where demand for convenient, high-quality urgent veterinary care is backed by one of the fastest-growing communities in the Austin metro, with extended-hours access for pet owners when they need it most.

• Build a Thriving Practice Culture: You will be the architect of a client-first, collaborative culture, setting the tone for medical excellence and teamwork from day one. In one of the fastest-growing cities in the Austin area, your standard of care will set the hospital apart from day one.
• Lead and Mentor Your Medical Team: Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team of veterinarians and support staff building a hospital culture that attracts top talent and delivers outstanding urgent care to the growing pet-owning communities of Manor and the greater Austin area. You will help build the coverage model that supports extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Drive Medical and Surgical Excellence: Establish the hospital’s standard of care for urgent workups, diagnostics, and surgery, ensuring every patient receives exceptional medicine while mentoring your team in general surgery, dentistry, and evidence-based clinical decision-making. You'll build a reputation as the trusted veterinary destination for pets across Manor and the greater Austin area.
• Partner in Business Ownership: Work directly with your Hospital Manager to manage the hospital's financial performance, making strategic decisions that drive top-line revenue growth and position the hospital as a long-term community resource.
• Shape the Future of Veterinary Care in Manor: Help establish a purpose-built urgent care hospital designed to meet the needs of today’s pet owners. With a location at the highest traffic count intersection within 3 miles that is surrounded by national retailers, restaurants, and growing residential communities, you’ll have the platform to build something that lasts.

Built Different: The Livewell Model

Each Livewell location is carefully selected based on strong demographic, market, and growth data, to give each Founding hire and the hospital the best chance for long-term success. Livewell Animal Urgent Care of Manor will be located at Manor Commons, a growing retail and commercial destination in Manor, Texas.

Manor Commons neighbors include Walmart, H-E-B, The Home Depot, T.J. Maxx, Burlington, and Five Below, along with Wendy’s, Whataburger, Sherwin-Williams, PNC, Bank of America, and Holiday Inn. Over 100 acres of retail and commercial space are planned to be built on all four corners, and a municipal park is under construction adjacent to the site for added traffic.

Manor is part of the Austin metro area, and new neighborhoods, apartment communities, and mixed-use projects are planned or under construction around the site creating a growing, pet-loving population with a steady need for convenient, high-quality veterinary care.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and a license in good standing to practice.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a veterinarian, with a strong foundation in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry..
• A compassionate and collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop associate veterinarians and support staff.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and a strong understanding of what it takes to run a successful practice.
• Previous formal leadership or management experience is a significant plus.
