  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, laboratory diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, medication preparation, and other appropriate clinical duties.
  • Support anesthesia monitoring, patient recovery, safe restraint, and low-stress handling when appropriately trained and authorized.
  • Advocate for patient comfort, safety, pain management, and quality veterinary care.

Client Communication and Education

  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients regarding their pets' health, recommended diagnostics, treatments, medications, and preventive care.
  • Reinforce veterinary recommendations and help clients understand treatment plans and ongoing care needs.

  • Provide hands-on guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to support team members' confidence and professional development.
  • Serve as a positive clinical resource by sharing knowledge, reinforcing best practices, and promoting consistency in patient care.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team members to improve communication, workflow, and overall hospital efficiency.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Hospital Operations and Medical Records

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records using hospital practice management systems, including AVImark.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly sanitized clinical areas and equipment.
  • Follow hospital protocols for infection control, workplace safety, equipment use, and controlled substance handling and documentation.
  • Uphold hospital policies, ethical standards, and applicable veterinary practice regulations.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as needed to support the medical team and daily hospital operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of veterinary clinical experience preferred, with demonstrated competency in essential veterinary technician duties.
  • Strong knowledge of patient care, clinical procedures, diagnostic support, and veterinary nursing practices.
  • Previous experience training, mentoring, or supporting team members is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety.
  • Compassion for animals, commitment to client education, and a desire to continue developing clinical skills.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Our Commitment to Team Member Well-Being and Development
