What is VeterinaryHires?

VeterinaryHires is a job board for the veterinary profession and nothing else.

Every job on it sits inside a veterinary practice: general practice, emergency and specialty hospitals, and relief work.

Grooming, pet retail, zoo and research-lab jobs are not listed.

It has eight role pages: veterinarian, emergency veterinarian, relief veterinarian, veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, veterinary receptionist, veterinary practice manager and kennel attendant.

Read more on the About page.

For job seekers it is free: browsing and applying cost nothing, and there is no account to create.

Employers pay to post.

What does it cost to post a job on VeterinaryHires?

Prices are published on the pricing page.

These are launch prices, reduced while the board is new.

  • Standard: $199 per listing (regular price $299). A 30-day listing, indexed in Google Jobs and shown on the matching role and city pages.
  • Featured: $399 per listing (regular price $499). Everything in Standard, plus the company logo, a highlighted listing card, top-of-feed placement and a Featured badge.

A single listing is a one-time payment.

It never renews and there is no contract.

How does posting a job work?

Pick Standard or Featured, describe the position, add the link where you take applications, and pay through Stripe.

The listing goes live as soon as the payment goes through; nobody has to approve it first.

Candidates who click Apply go straight to the employer's application link.

Each listing runs for 30 days.

There is no employer dashboard: to edit a live job or take it down early, email support with the job title. Post a job.

What are the group plans?

Practice groups that are always hiring can take a monthly plan instead of paying per post.

A slot is one live job, and a filled role's slot can be switched to a new opening at no charge.

  • Growth: $899 a month for up to 10 jobs live at the same time, with the logo on each job.
  • Brand: $1,749 a month for up to 25 jobs live at the same time, Featured treatment on every job and a named contact for support.

Group plans are arranged by contacting VeterinaryHires, not through self-serve checkout.

They are billed monthly and can be canceled at any time with no minimum commitment.

Founding Partner pricing holds for 24 months while the plan stays active and is open only to the first 10 groups that sign up.

Where do the job listings come from?

From two places: open jobs collected from hospital and practice-group career sites and public job feeds, and jobs that employers post directly and pay for.

On collected jobs, the Apply button points to the employer's original posting, so the application goes to the employer, not to VeterinaryHires.

Featured is the one paid placement: a Featured listing, or any job on the Brand group plan, sits at the top of the feed and is labelled with a Featured badge.

Who runs VeterinaryHires?

VeterinaryHires is run by its founder, Gabriel Meierotto.

He holds no DVM, no vet tech credential and no clinical license, and nothing on the site is veterinary advice.

His work is the hiring and business side of veterinary practice.

When the site's guides cover licensing, scope of practice or state law, the claims are checked against the original source, such as the state veterinary board, and pay figures name where they came from.

What does VeterinaryHires not do?

  • It is not an employer, staffing agency or recruiting agency. It does not screen, interview or vouch for candidates or employers, and it does not guarantee that a listing will result in a hire.
  • It does not offer a free posting option for employers.
  • It does not give legal or veterinary advice. Licensing and scope-of-practice questions go to the state veterinary board or a qualified professional.
  • It does not label a page as medically reviewed unless a named, licensed clinician has actually reviewed it.
  • It does not publish candidate or reach numbers.
